What are the fuels commonly used in Industrial steam boilers

Industrial steam boilers produce steam that can be used for heating, heating, disinfecting, drying, cooking, and power supply, and plays an important role in our lives and in industrial production. The source of heat for a boiler is combustion of any of several fuels, such as wood, coal, oil, or natural gas.

Here are some of the fuels commonly used in Industrial steam boiler.

1. Gaseous fuel

The gas used for the boiler may be natural gas, propane gas, or any other liquid petroleum gas.

2. Liquid fuel

Oil-fuel boilers may require diesel, gasoline, or other types of petroleum-based fuels.

3. Coal

Coal includes all solid fuel classified as anthracite, bituminous, subbituminous, or lignite coal, coal refuse, or petroleum coke.

4. Biomass fuel

Biomass Organic matter that is used as fuel is called biomass. Common biomass fired boiler fuel includes materials such as wood, bagasse, straw, nut hulls, rice husk, corncobs, coffee grounds, and tobacco stems.

One should be aware of the importance of fuel for boilers, the fuel cost account for 70% or more of the costs of boilers. It can also make a difference in your environmental impact, so it's important to be familiar with all of the various types of boiler fuel.
